Onshore Cables Installation

OVERVIEW

You demand safety, compliance and quality in cost-effective solutions. We deliver.

The Prysmian Group’s range of cable systems for onshore upstream oil and gas applications delivers innovative solutions for land drilling rigs, wellhead connections, as well as UL- and CSA-listed, industrial tray cable applications requiring flexibility.

Offshore & Onshore Cable Systems Portfolio

Our IEEE 1580 Type P cables are designed to preserve the operational integrity of mission-critical equipment in the most severe environments of upstream offshore and onshore oil and gas drilling rigs, MODUs and FPSOs. Engineered with mud oil resistance for increased safety and productivity, our IEEE 1580 Type P offering includes flexible unarmored and armored and sheathed signal, control, low-voltage and AC variable frequency drive (VFD) cables.

Prysmian’s AIRGUARD® polymeric armored cable completely eliminates the need for outdated interlocked and continuously corrugated and welded (CCW) cables. AIRGUARD cables are more robust and have smaller bend radii and greater flexibility as compared to Type MC-HL cables. Its rugged polymeric AIR BAG™ armor and chemical barrier protection package makes it the ideal cable choice for harsh environmental conditions. AIRGUARD is available in medium-voltage, low-voltage, instrumentation and VFD cable constructions. AIRGUARD cables listed as Type MC-HL are permitted for use in Class I Division 1 and Zone 1 applications.

VFD cables are used to control the frequency of the electrical power supplied to AC motors. Our VFD cables are designed to provide complete EMI screening and resistance to high-voltage spikes to extend the operating life of the cable or motor. Prysmian offers a wide range of VFD cables with diverse design options depending on the reference standards and customer requirements.

When faced with aggressive environments and high-mechanical stresses, cable manufacturers have traditionally protected their cables with a lead sheath and metal armor that increase the weight of the cable and reduce the installation flexibility.

MV Cables

Medium Voltage (6 to 36 kV) cables are used for power transmission applications or to connect equipment that requires large amounts of power in refineries, pipelines, and other midstream and downstream facilities.
Prysmian offers a wide range of MV cables with diverse design options depending on the reference standards and customer requirements.
Focus on

Instrumentation Cable

Instrumentation cables are used to transmit digital or analogue signals for measurement or process control applications in fixed installation in refineries, pipelines and other midstream downstream facilities.

Prysmian offers a wide range of Instrumentation cables with diverse design options depending on the reference standards and customer requirements.

Fibre Optic Cables

Fiber Optic cables are used to provide high bandwidth and high-speed data connections inland and offshore safety communication and emergency systems. It is essential that they continue to operate in fire/emergency situations.

Prysmian offers a wide range of Fiber Optic cables designed and tested to ensure they can resist a temperature of 1,000°C for more than 3 hours.
