With the ever-increasing need for readily available information in our lives, GenSPEED® datacom cables distribute or communicate information through telephone systems or computer systems and are available in a variety of performance levels and shielded and unshielded constructions, including Copper Category 6A 10 Gig, Category 6, Category 5e and Category 3 cables.

 

GenSPEED® 10 MTPTM is the world’s first Category 6A Cable to feature a record-breaking 0.230” overall diameter with guaranteed performance that meets or exceeds all TIA standards, providing industry-leading alien crosstalk protection and EMI Immunity. Its improved design, reduced diameter, lighter weight and increased flexibility translate to simplified cable handling and optimized cable management: less conduit, less cable tray, and more cable in existing conduit and trays that lower overall project costs.

GenSPEED® 6 MAX™ Category 6 (22 AWG) cables provide maximum versatility to challenging installations with a Plenum and Outside Plant cable option. The cable meets all Category 6 requirements under 100 meters with a certified LP listing of 0.7 A for MAX Plenum. It also provides power and bandwidth at extended distances beyond the IEEE standard. The same industry-trusted high-powered PoE cable that has been in the market since 2015 is now guaranteed to meet your extended-distance needs.

Cable choice matters in high-power PoE applications 

It is important to understand how your cabling infrastructure will perform under the higher power levels 802.3.bt will allow. Factors such as copper gauge size, cable design, bundle size and installation environment all impact a cable's ability to handle heat rise generated from high-power PoE applications. GenSPEED® was the industry's first to achieve UL's LP listing, an independent verification that they will operate at power levels above 100 watts without exceeding the temperature rating of the cable. An LP rating assures that a cable can handle the heat, no matter the bundle size or installation conditions.
